At the Rwanda One Health Innovation Network (ROHIN), we recognize that skilled animal health professionals are essential for maintaining healthy livestock, improving food safety, and safeguarding public health. To strengthen Rwanda’s veterinary and livestock systems, we provide targeted training programs for animal health professionals to enhance their capacity to prevent, diagnose, and manage animal health challenges.
Our training focuses on equipping professionals with the latest knowledge and practical skills in areas such as:
- Disease prevention and control strategies for livestock and poultry
- Diagnosis and treatment of common and emerging animal diseases
- Responsible use of antimicrobials to reduce resistance and residues
- Animal welfare and proper husbandry practices
- Effective communication with farmers for education and outreach
- Data collection and reporting to support national surveillance systems
By building the expertise of animal health professionals, ROHIN strengthens the overall veterinary system, promotes sustainable livestock production, and contributes to a safer, healthier, and more resilient One Health ecosystem in Rwanda.

Good!
